About The Position
St. Cabrini Nursing Home is a 304-bed, faith-based nonprofit facility founded in 1974. It provides short-term rehabilitation and skilled geriatric care. The facility is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for a NYSNA union position. The role is offered full-time or part-time, with compensation of $44.38 to $54 per hour based on experience, plus a 10% shift differential. The nurse provides and supervises resident care, follows facility nursing standards and policies, communicates with residents, families, physicians, and staff, and responds to resident concerns and care needs. Requirements
- New York State Registered Nurse license.
- BLS certification.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Nice To Haves
- Long-term care experience preferred.
- PCC experience is a bonus.
Responsibilities
- Respond to staff, family members, and residents in a courteous, patient, and caring manner.
- Follow established nursing practice standards and implement facility policies and procedures.
- Interpret existing policies and procedures for nursing staff, residents, families, and physicians.
- Supervise and evaluate direct resident care, initiating corrective action as necessary.
- Manage shift-change reports and record sufficient information to support appropriate follow-up action.
- Conduct daily resident rounds, report problems to the nursing supervisor, and initiate corrective action immediately.
