Registered Nurse RN - Acute Telemetry
About The Position
The Registered Nurse works in the Acute Telemetry department at Resurrection Medical Center and delivers safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The role provides direct patient care within the scope of practice and directs and guides patient and family teaching, as well as the activities of other nursing personnel, while maintaining standards of care in the Med/Surg/Telemetry Unit. The nurse is directly responsible and accountable for care provided to assigned patients. They communicate changes in patients’ clinical condition to physicians, including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptoms, and respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. The schedule is day shift, 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., in 12-hour shifts.
Requirements
- Current and valid state RN license.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain certification.
- Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain certification.
- Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
Nice To Haves
- Previous acute care hospital experience.
- Ventilator management experience.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
