Registered Nurse (RN) - Telemetry
About The Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Telemetry Unit delivers safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN provides direct patient care within their scope of practice and directs and guides patient and family teaching and the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care. The RN is directly responsible and accountable for care provided to assigned patients. They communicate changes in a patient’s clinical condition to physicians, including information about cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptoms. The RN must respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment.
Requirements
- Current and valid state RN license.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain it.
- Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
- Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain it.
Nice To Haves
- Previous acute care hospital experience.
- Ventilator management experience.
- Medical-Surgical Nurse-Board Certified (RN-BC) or similar certification.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Responsibilities
