Registered Nurse (RN) - Telemetry
About The Position
The Registered Nurse delivers safe patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, and provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. In the Telemetry Unit, the nurse directs and guides patient and family teaching and the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care. The nurse is directly responsible and accountable for care provided to assigned patients, communicates with physicians about changes in clinical condition—including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptoms—and responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
Requirements
- Current and valid state RN License.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
- Current ACLS certificate within 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
Nice To Haves
- Previous acute care hospital experience.
- Ventilator management experience.
- Medical-Surgical Nurse-Board Certified (RN-BC) or similar certification.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Responsibilities
