Registered Nurse: PRN (Children's Residential)
About The Position
Devereux is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse (RN) to work in our Psychiatric Residential Treatment Programs (PRTF) for adolescent females and males with a Behavioral Health and/or IDD/Autism diagnoses at our West Chester, PA location. Our programs provide clinical treatment, educational instruction and behavioral intervention services to children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral, emotional and psychiatric challenges and disorders. The PRN Registered Nurse will work with other dedicated professionals who share a passion for helping individuals in need. This role offers flexibility to work as the schedule allows, with a requirement of 4 shifts per month, including 1 Summer and 1 Winter Holiday, and 2 shifts must be on the weekend. Comprehensive training in crisis prevention/intervention, trauma informed care, CPR, first aid, and cultural competencies is provided. The ASCEND- Career Accelerator Program offers career guidance, one-on-one coaching, skills, and financial assistance, including tuition and student loan repayment.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing with a B.S.N., Diploma or A.D.
- Currently licensed to practice professional nursing in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
- One year of post-education nursing experience preferred.
- Experience with individuals with cognitive and/or behavioral challenges or medically complex conditions.
- Proficient computer skills, mastery of Microsoft Office Applications.
- Experience with data collection/analyzing platforms (Radar, Pro-Filer, and/or other internal and external software applications pertinent to the position).
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and adhere to established guidelines.
- Valid driver's license must be maintained.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to children and adolescents with behavioral health and/or IDD/Autism diagnoses.
- Work within Psychiatric Residential Treatment Programs (PRTF).
- Administer clinical treatment, educational instruction, and behavioral intervention services.
- Participate in training for crisis prevention/intervention, trauma informed care, CPR, first aid, and cultural competencies.
- Adhere to Program-Wide Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PW-PBIS) philosophy.
- Maintain a valid driver's license.
