About The Position

The Center for Safe and Healthy Families serves as the Child Protection and Maltreatment team at Primary Children’s Hospital. We specialize in delivering patient-centered, trauma-informed care for children referred to the Children’s Justice Center with concerns of physical abuse, sexual abuse, or medical neglect. Our nursing staff plays a vital role in supporting medical examinations and assisting with evidence collection. In the clinical setting, nurses collaborate closely with our advanced practice providers during patient evaluations. Together, they work in partnership with Primary Children’s medical team and the local Children’s Justice Center Multidisciplinary Team to ensure comprehensive care. We are seeking applicants with exceptional assessment abilities, strong critical thinking skills, and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.

Requirements

  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice. Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment.
  • Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) is required as of the job description's last update on 4/27/2025. Employees hired or promoted prior to this date will be held to the minimum requirements that were in place at the time of their promotion or hire.
  • RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four (4) years of their hire date.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN). Education must be obtained from an accredited institution. Degree will be verified.
  • One or more years of RN experience
  • Pediatric RN work experience
