About The Position
Wellfound Behavioral Health Hospital is seeking a compassionate and skilled Psychiatric Registered Nurse to provide direct nursing care to assigned inpatient psychiatric patients through the nursing process. The role promotes and restores patients’ mental health in a safe, therapeutic environment. Registered Nurses participate in patient care plans and wraparound services, provide physical and psychological support, and offer clinical leadership to other unit staff. They maintain a hopeful, positive approach to problem-solving and coping while fostering effective communication and relationships with patients. They also model Wellfound’s values and promote a positive work environment and efficient, quality patient care. This is a 0.9 FTE position with three 12-hour night shifts per week and rotating weekends. The position is eligible for a $12,500 sign-on bonus payable over one year, with a one-year commitment. Wellfound Behavioral Health Hospital is a 120-bed adult inpatient psychiatric nonprofit hospital in Tacoma, Washington, accredited by the Department of Health and The Joint Commission.
Requirements
- Associate degree in nursing.
- Current Washington State nursing license without restrictions or an accepted compact license.
- One year of inpatient psychiatric nursing experience.
- Strong nursing assessment skills.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) card through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Join the SEIU Union within 30 calendar days of employment and remain a member in good standing, unless an approved religious exemption applies.
