About The Position
The Detroit Medical Center (DMC) Registered Nurse is a member of the Patient Care Services Team and is responsible for satisfactory completion of nursing care by the nursing team. The RN manages and provides patient care activities for a group of patients and their families, applying independent judgment and collaborating and communicating with team members, including ancillary and support services. The role encompasses leadership, partnership, collaboration, teaching, and supervision. This position is in a telemetry unit at DMC Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital and is a full-time night position. ACLS is required. A sign-on bonus of up to $25,000 is available, based on relevant experience.
Requirements
- Graduation from a school of nursing.
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Michigan.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is required.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with physicians and other health care providers.
- Delegate, assess, provide, and evaluate patient care.
- Provide and delegate patient care activities to team members.
- Monitor patient progress and prepare patients for discharge.
- Report directly to senior unit management and participate in shared decision-making activities.
