About The Position

Interim HealthCare Staffing is seeking a Phone Triage Registered Nurse to support an ambulatory primary care clinic in Minneapolis. The role focuses on telephonic patient triage and clinical decision support, helping patients access appropriate care and coordinating services to support positive outcomes. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a pay rate of $63.60 to $74.20 per hour.

The nurse assesses symptoms, determines the appropriate level of care, escalates concerns when needed, and uses clinical protocols and documentation systems. The role also coordinates patient care, including medication refills, home care, and durable medical equipment, and collaborates with providers and care teams. Documentation is completed using the EPIC/OCHIN electronic medical record system.

Requirements

• Active RN license in Minnesota.
• Current BLS/CPR for Healthcare Providers certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• Experience with the EPIC/OCHIN electronic medical record system.
• Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple calls and priorities.

Nice To Haves

• Prior phone triage, in-person triage, or phone-based nursing experience is strongly preferred.
