About The Position
The Department of Human Services, Ebensburg Center is looking for someone to provide exceptional nursing care to our individuals. This position focuses on delivering consistent nursing care and supporting the overall health of individuals in the facility. It involves teamwork, careful observation, and steady communication to maintain wellness and safety.
Requirements
- Active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania
- If possessing an active temporary practice permit, must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
- Must be able to perform essential job functions.
- Satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
- Satisfactory completion of a medical examination and drug screening.

Responsibilities
- Provide effective nursing services and apply professional standards to meet health needs
- Check individuals daily for changes and report concerns to the physician
- Assist with exams, help implement physician orders, and participate in health interventions
- Complete records accurately and in line with established procedures
- Exchange information with staff and communicate changes in health status
- Carry out emergency actions, assist with lifting and positioning, and support safety measures
