About The Position

The Department of Human Services, Ebensburg Center is looking for someone to provide exceptional nursing care to our individuals. This position focuses on delivering steady nursing care and supporting treatment plans for individuals at the Ebensburg Center. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will perform duties related to nursing support, active treatment, health communication, care coordination, emergency response, and professional conduct.

Requirements

Active authorization to practice as a Licensed Practice Nurse in Pennsylvania
If possessing an active temporary practice permit, obtain licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing
Must be able to perform essential job functions
Satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance
Satisfactory completion of a medical examination and drug screening

Responsibilities

Provide care that follows the nursing process and maintains wellness for each individual
Participate in treatment planning by attending meetings and completing documentation for assigned cases
Relay observations to physicians and assist with examinations and health interventions
Carry out nursing functions, monitor individuals, and report changes in health status
Perform emergency procedures, support evacuations, and apply safety measures as needed
Maintain licensure, follow regulations, and continue developing nursing skills
