Registered Nurse - Medical Stroke Telemetry - Nights
About The Position
Endeavor Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for its Medical Stroke Telemetry unit at Glenbrook Hospital. This is a full-time night-shift position, scheduled from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., with rotating weekends and 36 hours per week. The nurse independently provides safe, effective, and compassionate care to patients on the unit. The role uses the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care; guides assigned unlicensed assistive personnel; collaborates with the healthcare team to support patient outcomes and continuity of care; and contributes to safety and a high-quality patient experience.
Requirements
- Current professional nursing licensure in the State of Illinois.
- Graduate of an NLN-accredited school of nursing.
- BLS/CPR certification for the Healthcare Provider.
- Prior nursing experience, or CNA experience for a new graduate nurse, is preferred.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred.
- Prior nursing experience preferred.
- CNA experience preferred for new graduate nurses.
Responsibilities
- Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for patients on the unit.
- Use the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate the patient plan of care.
- Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care.
- Communicate and collaborate with healthcare team members to support optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care.
- Contribute to safety outcomes and promote a high-quality patient experience.
