Registered Nurse (RN) - Pre Op Testing
About The Position
The Registered Nurse is responsible for administering direct and indirect nursing care to an assigned group of patients scheduled for surgical procedures in the Short Stay Unit. The RN performs assessment, intervention, evaluation, and teaching related to the surgical procedure. The RN provides patient-focused care as part of a multidisciplinary team, based on national standards and utilizing the nursing process, and functions within the Nurse Practice Act and other regulating bodies. The RN participates in process improvement, professional education, committees, and meetings to maintain competence and advance the mission and values of Good Samaritan Medical Center. Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved School of Nursing.
- Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Florida.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- PALS certification within one year of hire.
- One year of Medical-Surgical Nursing experience.
