About The Position

Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse II provides individualized, goal-directed patient and family care at the competent level using the principles and practices of the nursing process. The nurse delivers safe and effective care and works with other members of the health care team to achieve desired results. This role is in Pre-Op Testing at the Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA). The position offers an $18,000 sign-on bonus.

Requirements

Associate’s degree in nursing.
Registered nurse licensure from the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or an AHA-recognized equivalent, or American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime as required.
Ability to meet the listed physical, sensory, and mental requirements of the role, including lifting and exerting force as specified.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required for most nursing areas within the hospital.
