About The Position
VitalHire is hiring a travel Registered Nurse specializing in PCU for an acute care hospital in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The assignment is for 13 weeks, with two openings and start dates of November 2, 2026, or November 9, 2026. Weekly pay is $2,141, including a housing and meals stipend of up to $1,267 per week where eligible. The shift is nights, three 12-hour shifts per week, from 18:45 to 07:15. The unit has mixed-acuity PCU and MS/Tele patients, with target nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4–5 and ratios up to 1:6 in extreme situations. Nurses must float to like units. The unit accepts first-time travelers.
Requirements
- Active RN license for North Carolina; a compact license is accepted where applicable.
- PCU specialty experience.
- At least 2 years of recent PCU experience.
- BLS certification.
- ACLS certification.
- NIHSS certification.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients in a mixed-acuity PCU and MS/Tele unit.
- Float to like units as required.
