About The Position
VitalHire is hiring a travel Registered Nurse for the PCU at an acute care hospital in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The assignment is for 13 weeks, with a night shift schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week, from 18:45 to 7:15. Two openings are available. Start dates are November 2, 2026, or November 9, 2026. The unit is a mixed-acuity PCU and MS/Tele unit, with target patient ratios of 1:4–5. In extreme situations, the ratio may reach 1:6. The nurse must be willing to float to like units. The assignment pays $2,141 per week and includes a housing and meals stipend of up to $1,267 per week where eligible.
Requirements
- Active RN license for North Carolina; compact license accepted where applicable.
- PCU specialty.
- At least 2 years of recent PCU experience.
- BLS certification.
- ACLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- NIHSS certification.
- Previous travel nursing experience is not required; the unit accepts first-time travelers.
