About The Position

The 3 West Registered Nurse is a member of the Patient Care Services team at Southern NH Medical Center, a 22-bed adult medical/surgical department serving patients with general medicine, vascular, gastrointestinal, bariatric, urology, women’s health, oncology, chemotherapy administration, and palliative care needs. The nurse provides comprehensive, compassionate care to adolescent and adult patients with varied medical and surgical diagnoses, with a focus on vascular, colorectal, gynecological, and urological surgeries and oncology therapies. The role includes completing a competency-based orientation program to become proficient in caring for the 3 West patient population. This is a full-time night position, 36 hours per week, working 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. and every other weekend.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with an ASN or BSN.
• Registered Nurse licensed in the state of New Hampshire.
• Achieve Basic Life Support competency within 30 days.
• Achieve intravenous therapy, pre- and post-operative surgical patient management, and central line management competencies within 90 days.
• Achieve general oncology patient care and palliative care competencies within 180 days.
• Achieve chemotherapy administration competency through an Oncology Nursing Society program within two years.
