NEW GRADUATE Registered Nurse - 4E, Med Surg
About The Position
Nemours is seeking a new graduate Registered Nurse to join its 4E, Med Surg team in Wilmington, Delaware. 4 East is a 24-bed general, specialty, and subspecialty medical unit caring for a high population of patients requiring respiratory or gastrointestinal management. Patient rooms are equipped with oxygen, compressed air, suction, cardiorespiratory bedside monitors, and computers that provide access to electronic medical records and support barcode medication administration. The unit aims to provide high-quality, cost-effective, family-centered care. Daily family-centered care rounds support an inter-professional approach and partnership with patients and families. The Registered Nurse implements the patient care delivery model for patients and their families and is accountable for assessing, planning, providing, and evaluating care for assigned patients. The schedule is 48 hours over six weeks, including a holiday rotation package. The position includes day and night shifts, with rotation as needed.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Must be eligible for a Delaware state nursing license or compact license.
- American Heart Association BLS certification required.
- PALS certification must be obtained within one year.
- BSN must be obtained within three years.
