NEW GRADUATE Registered Nurse - 4E, Med Surg
About The Position
Nemours is seeking a new graduate Registered Nurse to join the 4 East Medical-Surgical team in Wilmington, Delaware. 4 East is a 24-bed general, specialty, and subspecialty medical unit with many patients requiring respiratory or gastrointestinal management. Each single-patient room has oxygen, compressed air, suction, cardiorespiratory bedside monitors, and computers for accessing electronic medical records and barcode medication administration. The unit aims to provide high-quality, cost-effective, family-centered care. Daily family-centered care rounds support an interprofessional approach and partnership with patients and families. The Registered Nurse implements the patient care delivery model for patients and their families and is responsible and accountable for assessing, planning, providing, and evaluating care for assigned patients. The schedule is 48 hours over six weeks, including a holiday rotation package. The position includes day and night shifts, rotating as needed.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Eligible for a Delaware State nursing license or compact license.
- American Heart Association BLS certification required.
- Obtain PALS certification within one year.
Nice To Haves
- BSN preferred; required within three years.
Responsibilities
