Contract Registered Nurse - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
About The Position
InterHealth Staffing, the for-profit staffing division of Tampa General Hospital, connects healthcare professionals with flexible opportunities while supporting TGH’s commitment to world-class, compassionate care. This is a 13–26-week contract assignment in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Contract roles are designed with a strong focus on conversion to permanent employment; extensions may also be available based on business needs and mutual interest. The role provides an opportunity to work within a complex healthcare environment and deliver compassionate care to the communities Tampa General serves. The Registered Nurse evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements, and documents nursing care. The nurse assists physicians during examinations and procedures, performs patient tests, administers medications within the scope of practice, and promotes patient independence through care goals and education for patients and families about conditions, medications, and self-care skills.
Requirements
- Florida RN license.
- Associate Degree in Nursing.
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
- NRP certification through the American Heart Association.
- 1 year of experience.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
Responsibilities
