Registered Nurse (RN)/ Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
About The Position
The Clinical Nurse is a registered nurse who partners with and advocates for patients, families, and significant others, providing physical, emotional, and spiritual support that impacts patient outcomes in a safe environment. The RN functions in a versatile role, demonstrating professionalism and promoting excellence and autonomy in nursing practice. The RN uses the nursing process and evidence-based principles to care for a diverse caseload of patients within the department’s scope of service. The RN serves as a guide, healer, collaborator, teacher, leader, and sentry, and collaborates with and guides care delivered by the inter-professional team. The RN is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, the Nursing Code of Ethics, and applicable regulatory standards. This position is in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Miami Valley Hospital. It is full-time nights, 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., for 72 hours per pay period.
Requirements
- Valid Ohio RN license.
- Associate degree in Nursing.
- No prior job-related work experience required.
- Ability to multitask with constant interruptions while maintaining a pleasant demeanor.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Strong organization skills.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.

- BSN preferred.
