About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct patient care in a correctional setting, including assessments, medication administration, treatments, and emergency response. The RN collaborates with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans while ensuring compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and infection control standards. The role also includes educating patients about health conditions, monitoring their progress, and contributing to a safe and effective healthcare environment.

Requirements

• Current, valid state licensure, certificate, and/or credentials documenting the ability to practice as an RN.
• Active CPR/BLS certificate required, approved under American Heart Association or American Red Cross guidelines.
• Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively, adhere to protocols, and deliver high-quality service in a fast-paced, structured environment.

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Nursing, or a related field; preferred but not required.
• 1–3 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in correctional healthcare or a similar environment.
• Experience in direct patient care or administrative support in a regulated environment.
• Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures as they relate to the correctional setting.
