About The Position

The Registered Nurse provides direct patient care in a correctional setting, including conducting assessments, administering medications and treatments, and responding to emergencies. The RN collaborates with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans, while following facility policies, state regulations, and infection control standards. The position also involves educating patients about health conditions, monitoring their progress, and contributing to a safe and effective healthcare environment.

Requirements

• Current, valid state licensure, certificate, and/or credentials documenting the ability to practice as an RN.
• 1–3 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
• Active CPR/BLS certificate meeting American Heart Association or American Red Cross guidelines.
• Ability to manage time effectively, adhere to protocols, and deliver high-quality service in a fast-paced, structured environment.

Nice To Haves

• An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Nursing, or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Experience in correctional healthcare or a similar environment.
• Experience in direct patient care or administrative support in a regulated environment.
• Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures as they relate to correctional settings.
