About The Position

The Registered Nurse will provide holistic, high-quality nursing care in the Cardiac Post Surgical department at Ascension St John Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The role focuses on cardiac stepdown patient care and includes developing and monitoring personalized care plans, coordinating communication among physicians and other disciplines, and observing, documenting, and promptly communicating changes in patient condition. The position is full-time and includes weekends.

Requirements

• Obtain a BLS Provider credential within 30 days of hire or job transfer; American Heart Association or American Red Cross credentials are accepted.
• Hold a Registered Nurse credential from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing before hire or job transfer.
• Have a diploma from an accredited school or college of nursing, or the required professional licensure at the time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver holistic, high-quality nursing care in alignment with clinical standards and organizational protocols.
• Initiate, implement, and continuously monitor personalized patient care plans, adapting them to changing needs.
• Coordinate communication among physicians, specialists, and other disciplines to support a unified patient care journey.
• Observe and record patient conditions, promptly communicate changes, and respond decisively to clinical findings.
