Pulse Registered Nurse Cardiovascular Intensive Care
About The Position
Pulse Heart Institute at MultiCare is a physician-led institute with multidisciplinary partnerships across cardiothoracic surgery, vascular, and cardiovascular service lines. Its teams and programs provide cardiac, thoracic, and vascular care, including complex structural heart disease and interventions, advanced heart failure services, and advanced imaging technologies. The staff Registered Nurse joins a hospital-based, multidisciplinary team and uses specialized nursing knowledge and training to provide patient care. MultiCare is developing a nursing organization in which nurses participate in clinical decision-making, communicate openly with colleagues, receive support for professional development, and understand the future of nursing at the organization. The position is 0.9 FTE, with a day shift and variable schedule.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or a Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
- Current BLS certification.
- One year of experience in an acute care setting is preferred.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Certification in a specialty area.
- ACLS, NALS, PALS, TNCC, or NRP certification, as required by the facility or department.
Responsibilities
- Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating care on an ongoing basis.
- Use nursing education and experience to deliver care through the nursing process in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care and patient experience and reduce costs.
- Foster a learning environment for patients, families, nursing staff, and other members of the health care team.
- Advocate for ethical, holistic care that promotes patient autonomy, dignity, and health across diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
