About The Position
Pulse Heart Institute, part of MultiCare, is a physician-led institute with multidisciplinary partnerships across cardiothoracic surgery, vascular, and cardiovascular service lines. Its programs provide cardiac, thoracic, and vascular care, including complex structural heart disease interventions, advanced heart failure services, and advanced imaging technologies. The staff Registered Nurse joins a hospital-based team and applies specialized nursing knowledge and training in a multidisciplinary care environment. MultiCare is working to build a best-in-class nursing organization in which nurses participate in clinical decision-making, communicate openly, receive professional support, and understand the future of nursing at the organization. This position is 0.9 FTE, with night shifts and a variable schedule.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or a Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
- Current BLS certification.
- ACLS, NALS, PALS, TNCC, or NRP certification, as required by the facility or department.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- One year of experience in an acute care setting.
- Certification in a specialty area.
Responsibilities
- Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating care on an ongoing basis.
- Use nursing education and experience to deliver care through the nursing process in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care and patient experience and reduce costs.
- Foster a learning environment for patients, families, nursing staff, and members of the health care team.
- Advocate for ethical, holistic care that promotes patient autonomy, dignity, and health across diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
