Pulse Registered Nurse Cardiovascular Intensive Care
About The Position
MultiCare’s Pulse Heart Institute is a physician-led institute with multispecialty partnerships across cardiothoracic surgery, vascular, and cardiovascular service lines. Its programs provide cardiac, thoracic, and vascular care, including complex structural heart disease interventions, advanced heart failure services, and advanced imaging technologies. The hospital-based staff RN uses specialized training, knowledge, and nursing care in a multidisciplinary setting. The position is part of MultiCare’s effort to build a best-in-class nursing organization in which nurses participate in clinical decision-making, communicate openly with colleagues, receive professional support, and understand the future of nursing at MultiCare. This position is listed at 0.9 FTE, with a night shift and variable schedule.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or a Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
- Current BLS certification.
- ACLS, NALS, PALS, TNCC, or NRP certification, as required by the facility or department.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Certification in a specialty area.
- One year of experience in an acute care setting.
Responsibilities
- Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating care on an ongoing basis.
- Use nursing education and experience to provide care through the nursing process in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care, patient experience, and cost efficiency.
- Foster a learning environment for patients and families, nursing staff, and other members of the health care team.
- Advocate for ethical, holistic care that promotes patient autonomy, dignity, and health across diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
