Registered Nurse Cardiovascular Unit Full Time Nights
About The Position
Seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiovascular Unit. This is a full-time, 36-hours-per-week night position, with shifts from 7 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. and every-third-weekend rotation. The Progressive Care Unit has 15 beds on CVI and 16 beds on CVU. CVI cares for patients before and after cardiac interventions, including PTCA, cardioversion, and generator implants, and patients with atypical chest pain requiring cardiac monitoring. CVU provides postoperative care for cardiac surgery patients following open-heart recovery. Nurses care for patients throughout their journey, from intervention to discharge. New graduate nurses are encouraged to apply. The Cardiac Nurse assesses patient needs, implements interventions, and maintains a nursing care plan. Strong critical-thinking skills are essential for providing technical care and guiding patients and families through their cardiac journey. The position is bonus eligible for qualified candidates.
Requirements
- Active Kentucky RN License.
- BCLS certification required.
- ACLS certification required.
- Strong critical-thinking skills.
