Registered Nurse Cardiovascular Unit Full Time Days
About The Position
Seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiovascular Unit. This is a full-time, 36-hours-per-week role on the day shift, with hours from 7 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and an every-third-weekend rotation. The role is bonus eligible for qualified candidates. The Cardiovascular Unit is a 31-bed Progressive Care Unit, with 15 beds in CVI and 16 beds in CVU. CVI cares for patients before and after cardiac interventions, including PTCA, cardioversion, and generator implants, as well as patients with atypical chest pain who require cardiac monitoring. CVU provides postoperative care for cardiac surgery patients following open-heart recovery. Registered Nurses care for patients throughout their journey, from intervention to discharge. New graduate nurses are encouraged to apply. The Cardiac Nurse assesses patient needs, implements interventions, and maintains a nursing care plan. Strong critical-thinking skills are essential to providing technical care and guiding patients and families through their cardiac journey.
Requirements
- Active Kentucky RN license.
- BCLS certification required.
- ACLS certification required.
- Strong critical-thinking skills.
