Registered Nurse Cardiovascular Unit Full Time Nights
About The Position
Baptist Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for its 31-bed Cardiovascular Unit, a Progressive Care Unit with 15 beds in CVI and 16 beds in CVU. CVI cares for patients before and after cardiac interventions such as PTCA, cardioversion, and generator implants, as well as patients with atypical chest pain who require cardiac monitoring. CVU provides postoperative care for cardiac surgery patients following open-heart recovery. Nurses care for patients throughout their journey, from intervention to discharge. The Cardiac Nurse assesses patient needs, implements interventions, and maintains a nursing care plan. Strong critical-thinking skills are essential for providing technical care and guiding patients and families through their cardiac journey. New graduate nurses are encouraged to apply. This is a full-time, 36-hour-per-week night position, with shifts from 7 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. and an every-third-weekend rotation. Qualified candidates may be eligible for a bonus.
Requirements
- Active Kentucky RN license.
- BCLS certification required.
- ACLS certification required.
- Strong critical-thinking skills.
