Registered Nurse Cardiovascular Unit Part Time Nights
About The Position
Seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiovascular Unit. This is a part-time night position, with shifts from 7 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. and an every-third-weekend rotation. The posting also states that the role is 36 hours weekly and describes it as full time. Qualified candidates may be eligible for a bonus. The Progressive Care Unit has 15 beds on CVI and 16 beds on CVU. CVI cares for patients before and after cardiac interventions, including PTCA, cardioversion, and generator implants, as well as patients with atypical chest pain who require cardiac monitoring. CVU provides postoperative care for cardiac surgery patients following open-heart recovery. Registered Nurses support patients throughout their care journey, from intervention through discharge. New graduate nurses are encouraged to apply.
Requirements
- Active Kentucky RN License.
- BCLS required.
- ACLS required.
- Strong critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities
- Assess patient needs.
- Implement interventions to address patient needs.
- Maintain a nursing care plan.
- Provide technical care to cardiac patients.
- Use critical thinking and serve as a resource to guide patients and families through their cardiac care journey.
- Care for patients from cardiac intervention through discharge.
- Provide care in CVI for patients before and after cardiac interventions and for patients with atypical chest pain requiring cardiac monitoring.
- Provide postoperative care in CVU for cardiac surgery patients following open-heart recovery.
