Registered Nurse Cardiovascular Unit Full Time Days
About The Position
Seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiovascular Unit. This is a full-time, 36-hours-per-week position on days, with a schedule of 7 a.m.–7:30 p.m. and every-third-weekend rotation. The unit is a Progressive Care Unit with 15 beds on CVI and 16 beds on CVU. CVI cares for patients before and after cardiac interventions such as PTCA, cardioversion, and generator implants, as well as patients with atypical chest pain requiring cardiac monitoring. CVU provides postoperative care for cardiac surgery patients following open-heart recovery. Nurses care for patients throughout their journey, from intervention to discharge. New graduate nurses are encouraged to apply. Qualified candidates may be eligible for a bonus.
Requirements
- Active Kentucky RN License.
- BCLS certification required.
- ACLS certification required.
- Strong critical thinking skills.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient needs.
- Implement interventions to address patient needs.
- Maintain a nursing care plan.
- Provide technical care to cardiovascular patients.
- Guide patients and families through their cardiac care journey.
- Care for patients from intervention through discharge.
- Provide pre- and post-cardiac intervention care, including care related to PTCA, cardioversion, and generator implants.
- Care for patients with atypical chest pain requiring cardiac monitoring.
- Provide postoperative care for cardiac surgery patients following open-heart recovery.
