RN - Short Stay/Observation Unit - Nights
About The Position
The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care in accordance with the Illinois Professional Registered Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies and procedures. The nurse uses critical-thinking skills to assess patients’ conditions, recognize changes, plan and evaluate care, monitor patient progress, and record relevant observations. The nurse also delegates appropriate patient-care tasks to other staff and works as a team member to fulfill unit goals. Duties may vary by assigned unit or shift. This full-time position is in the Short Stay/Observation Unit at Edward Main Hospital in Naperville. The schedule is 36 hours per week, nights from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., with rotating weekends and holidays.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of RN experience in an inpatient unit setting.
- Associate Degree or higher in Nursing.
- If an Associate Degree in Nursing is the highest degree held, graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing within five years of the position start date.
- Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure.
- Current CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association or Basic Life Support.
