RN - Short Stay/Observation Unit - Days
About The Position
The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care in accordance with the Illinois Professional Registered Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies and procedures. The nurse uses critical thinking to assess patients’ conditions, recognize changes, plan and evaluate care, monitor progress, and document pertinent observations. The nurse delegates appropriate patient-care tasks and works as a team member to fulfill unit goals. Duties may vary by assigned unit or shift. This is a full-time, 36-hour-per-week position in the Short Stay/Observation Unit at Edward Main Hospital in Naperville. The schedule is days, 7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m., with rotating weekends and holidays.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of RN experience in an inpatient unit setting.
- Associate degree or higher in Nursing.
- If an Associate Degree in Nursing is the highest degree held, graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing within five years of the position start date.
- Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure.
- Current CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association or Basic Life Support.
