About The Position

The Registered Nurse provides direct patient care in an Acute Care Med-Surg setting, including specialty units with moderate to high patient acuity. The role uses the nursing process and evidence-based care models, including the AMSN core curriculum and specialty certification standards. Clinical Educators support individualized specialty education and training, with competency validation throughout clinical orientation. The nurse works as part of a multidisciplinary team to achieve exceptional outcomes, prioritizes wellness and the patient perspective, and contributes to safety and quality at the point of care. The position is onsite at UCHealth Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins and is scheduled PRN on the night shift.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing-approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if the applicant has less than 3 years of experience.
State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
At least 6 months of nursing (RN) experience.
BLS through the American Heart Association, or American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in hand before the start date; the card must remain valid through 60 days of hire.
