About The Position

The Acute Care RN provides safe, effective, and compassionate care to patients with varying levels of acuity. The nurse assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care; coordinates with the interdisciplinary team; and supports patients and families throughout their care journey. This role is for the Procedural Short Stay unit at MercyOne’s Downtown Des Moines Hospital.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Nursing required.
• Current Iowa RN license required.
• American Heart Association BLS required.
• ACLS required for units with telemetry monitoring.
• Complete Mandatory Reporter training within 3 months of hire.
• Basic computer skills.

Nice To Haves

• BSN preferred.
