About The Position
PAM Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for its new rehabilitation hospital in Aiken, South Carolina. Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager, or Charge Nurse, the RN uses the nursing process to deliver, direct, and supervise care for patients admitted to the nursing unit. The RN plans, coordinates, and provides patient care, including interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family education for post-hospitalization, and access to community resources. The RN may perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including serving as a Charge Nurse when qualified.
Requirements
- Current registered nurse (RN) license in the state where the hospital is located, or compact licensure if the state participates.
- Current BLS certification.
- Evidence of ACLS certification within 90 days of employment; BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment.
- Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.
Nice To Haves
- One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Use the nursing process to deliver, direct, and supervise care for patients admitted to the nursing unit.
- Plan, coordinate, and provide patient care.
- Participate in interdisciplinary planning and discharge planning.
- Teach patients and families about post-hospitalization care.
- Access community resources for patients.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested, which may include Charge Nurse duties.
