About The Position

The Registered Nurse works with other healthcare professionals to treat patients with various injuries, illnesses, or disabilities. The role monitors patients, administers medications, maintains records, consults with healthcare providers, and educates patients. This is a full-time day position with an 8 a.m.–4 p.m. schedule at Atlantic Visiting Nurse in Essex County.

Atlantic Health’s home care and hospice teams work with patients, their families, and communities, providing comprehensive home care and hospice services with comfort, compassion, education, and expertise.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS certification.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• ASN graduates must complete BSN studies within five years of their start date.
• At least one year of experience in nursing or a relevant area.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and complete healthcare records and reports.
• Administer medications and monitor patients for side effects and reactions.
• Monitor, report, and record symptoms or changes in patient conditions.
• Assess, implement, plan, or evaluate nursing care plans in collaboration with healthcare team members.
• Record patient vital signs and medical information.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Work with healthcare professionals to treat patients with injuries, illnesses, or disabilities.
• Consult with healthcare providers and educate patients.
