About The Position

Virtua Health is hiring a part-time Registered Nurse for its Float Obstetric Block in Voorhees, New Jersey. This is an on-site night-shift position with 12-hour shifts and 24 total weekly hours. Experience in labor and delivery (L&D), high-risk obstetrics (HROB), mother-baby care, and NICU is required. The nurse assesses, diagnoses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care using outcome identification and evidence-based practice. As an integral member of the healthcare team, the nurse coordinates care and communicates and collaborates with team members, patients, and patients’ families or significant others while maintaining high standards of professional ethics.

Requirements

Experience in labor and delivery (L&D), high-risk obstetrics (HROB), mother-baby care, and NICU.
Knowledge of nursing skills, hospital practices, procedures, and standards.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to coordinate the efforts of a team of care providers.
Valid New Jersey RN license, which must be presented and maintained in accordance with the State of New Jersey Licensing Board.
Maintain and develop nursing skills through ongoing education and review of professional journals and other resources.

Responsibilities
