About The Position
The Registered Nurse, General Medical Telemetry provides safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care to patients on a specific unit. The nurse uses the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care; guides assigned unlicensed assistive personnel; and collaborates with the healthcare team to support positive patient outcomes, continuity of care, safety, and a high-quality patient experience. This is a full-time day-shift position at Glenbrook Hospital, scheduled from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. with rotating weekends, for 36 hours.
Requirements
- Current professional nursing licensure in the State of Illinois.
- Graduate of an NLN-accredited school of nursing.
- BLS/CPR certification for the Healthcare Provider.
- Prior nursing experience or, for a new graduate nurse, CNA experience is preferred.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred.
- Prior nursing experience, or CNA experience for a new graduate nurse.
Responsibilities
- Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for a patient population on a specific unit.
- Use the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate the patient plan of care.
- Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care.
- Communicate and collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care.
- Contribute positively to safety outcomes and promote a high-quality patient experience.
