About The Position
Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center is hiring a full-time day-shift Registered Nurse for its acute medical/telemetry unit. The unit cares for a diverse adult patient population with complex medical conditions in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting. The team emphasizes critical thinking, prioritization, interdisciplinary collaboration, professional autonomy, and bedside nursing expertise. The Registered Nurse delivers competent nursing care using the nursing process and applicable standards of professional practice. The role includes patient assessment and admission, rounding checks, medication administration, communication with family members, and overall responsibility for patients’ care. New graduates are welcome. The posting states that new graduate RNs with less than one year of experience start at $36.00 per hour; the full-time base pay range is $41.93–$61.01 hourly. Additional compensation may include shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonuses. An annual discretionary bonus may be available subject to eligibility criteria.
Requirements
- RN diploma, ADN, BSN, or MSN.
- An RN license valid to work in Virginia.
- BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
- NIHSS certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities
- Assess and admit patients.
- Conduct rounding checks.
