About The Position

As a Registered Nurse at Rochester Regional Health, you provide patient-centered care and help make a positive difference for patients, family members, and visitors. The role is in the Med/Surg - 2 East department at Newark Wayne Hospital and is scheduled for 36 hours per week on the day shift, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., with rotating weekends and holidays.

You will promote and restore patients’ health through the nursing process, collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members, perform treatment procedures, and provide physical, educational, and emotional support to patients and their families. You will develop and document individualized care plans, communicate patient status and progress, use the electronic health record for documentation and communication, supervise assigned team members, and follow department and system requirements.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Nursing.
• Registered Nurse license from the NYS Office of Professions.
• Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
• Compassionate, warm, and patient-focused approach.
• Critical-thinking skills and decisive judgment.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional documentation skills and professional behavior.

Responsibilities

• Promote and restore patients’ health by completing the nursing process.

• Adhere to department and system protocols, local, state, and federal regulations, and education requirements.
