About The Position

TriHealth is hiring a Registered Nurse for the 9AB Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Good Samaritan Hospital. This specialized 60-bed, level III NICU provides high-risk neonates with high-acuity, family-centered developmental care, including cardiac, respiratory, and hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator support. Nurses work collaboratively with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, lactation specialists, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team in an onsite clinical environment focused on safety and compassionate care. The position applies the nursing process to provide direct and indirect holistic care to infants and their families. Nurses assess patients and families, develop and revise individualized plans of care, deliver technical interventions, educate and support families, and coordinate care with physicians and other clinicians. The role may include delegating care to team members under the nurse’s direct supervision and acting as a resource for peers. New staff complete a Competency-Based Orientation, including online didactic learning. Orientation generally lasts 8–12 weeks, depending on prior experience. NICU experience is preferred, but new graduates are also considered. Nurses must complete the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and S.T.A.B.L.E. program by the end of their first year of employment. The position is part-time, 24 hours per week, working nights from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. at Good Samaritan Hospital. TriHealth offers medical, dental, and vision coverage, retirement contributions, paid time off, tuition assistance, and wellness resources. Hourly incentives include a $1 weekend incentive, a $4 shift differential, a $4 part-time nights premium, and acute care incentive pay based on previous RN experience.
