Registered Nurse (RN) Freestanding Emergency
About The Position
The Registered Nurse will work in Inova Healthplex’s freestanding Emergency Department in Ashburn and Cornwall, a division of Inova Loudoun Hospital. This is a full-time, overnight position on a 7 p.m.–7 a.m. schedule, joining a collaborative, team-oriented group. The Healthplex offers an autonomous work environment and has received the ENA Lantern Award for Nursing Excellence and Acute Stroke Ready certification from The Joint Commission. The Ashburn HealthPlex provides full-service emergency care with board-certified emergency medicine physicians; CT, X-ray, and ultrasound imaging; on-site laboratory testing; ambulance service for direct admission to Inova Loudoun Hospital; and 17 treatment rooms, including a trauma bay and pediatric resuscitation room. The position includes opportunities for flexible self-scheduling and advancement, including a clinical ladder, and participation in a Shared Governance nursing model. Qualified candidates are eligible for a sign-on bonus. Requirements
- At least 1 year of Registered Nurse clinical experience in an acute care setting.
- BLS for Healthcare Provider certification.
- RN license or eligibility to practice as an RN in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- BSN from an accredited school of nursing; nurses with an Associate Degree in Nursing must complete a BSN within 5 years of their start date.
Nice To Haves
- 2 or more years of Emergency Department RN experience preferred.
- ACLS preferred.
