About The Position

The Registered Nurse will work in Inova Healthplex’s freestanding Emergency Department in Ashburn, a division of Inova Loudoun Hospital. This full-time role is for an experienced emergency nurse and offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, team-oriented, and autonomous setting. The Healthplex provides full-service emergency care, with board-certified emergency medicine physicians, advanced imaging, on-site laboratory testing, ambulance service for direct admission to Inova Loudoun Hospital, and 17 treatment rooms, including a trauma bay and pediatric resuscitation room. The facility is an ENA Lantern Award winner for Nursing Excellence and is Acute Stroke Ready Certified by the Joint Commission.

The position offers flexible self-scheduling, advancement opportunities including a clinical ladder, and a Shared Governance nursing model in which bedside RNs lead hospital change. The work schedule is a mid-shift from 3 p.m. to 3 a.m. Qualified candidates are eligible for a sign-on bonus.

The nurse provides knowledgeable, compassionate clinical practice and care coordination, using a patient- and family-centered approach and applying standards, guidelines, and care pathways to support patient outcomes.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of Registered Nurse clinical experience in an acute care setting.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider certification.
• RN license, or eligibility to practice as an RN in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• BSN from an accredited school of nursing. Nurses with an Associate Degree in Nursing must complete a BSN within 5 years of their start date.

Nice To Haves

• More than 1 year of Emergency Department RN experience preferred.
• ACLS preferred.
