Registered Nurse (RN) Freestanding Emergency
About The Position
The Registered Nurse will work in the Inova Healthplex in Ashburn, a freestanding Emergency Department and division of Inova Loudoun Hospital. This is a full-time day-shift role with hours from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The Healthplex offers emergency care in an autonomous, collaborative team environment and is an ENA Lantern Award winner for Nursing Excellence and Acute Stroke Ready Certified by the Joint Commission. Qualified candidates are eligible for a sign-on bonus. The facility features board-certified emergency medicine physicians, CT, X-ray and ultrasound imaging, on-site laboratory testing, ambulance service for direct admission to Inova Loudoun Hospital, and 17 treatment rooms, including a trauma bay and pediatric resuscitation room. Nurses have access to flexible self-scheduling, advancement opportunities including a clinical ladder, and a Shared Governance nursing model in which bedside RNs lead hospital change.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of Registered Nurse clinical experience in an acute care setting.
- BLS for Healthcare Provider certification.
- An RN license or eligibility to practice as an RN in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- A BSN from an accredited school of nursing. An RN with an Associate Degree in Nursing must complete a BSN within 5 years of the start date.
Nice To Haves
- More than 1 year of Emergency Department RN experience is preferred.
- ACLS is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide knowledgeable, caring clinical practice and care coordination based on an understanding of patients, families, nurses, and the healthcare delivery team.
- Conduct patient care in a patient- and family-centered manner.
- Use an integrated approach toward patient outcomes.
- Use standards, guidelines, and pathways for care delivery.
