Registered Nurse (RN) Freestanding Emergency
About The Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) works in Inova Healthplex in Ashburn, a freestanding Emergency Department and division of Inova Loudoun Hospital. This full-time role is an opportunity for an experienced ER nurse to join a collaborative, team-oriented group. The schedule is a mid shift from 3 p.m. to 3 a.m. Qualified candidates are eligible for a sign-on bonus. The Healthplex offers autonomous practice and includes full-service emergency care, board-certified emergency medicine physicians, advanced imaging (CT, X-ray, and ultrasound), on-site laboratory testing, ambulance service for direct admission to Inova Loudoun Hospital, and 17 treatment rooms, including a trauma bay and pediatric resuscitation room. The facility has received the ENA Lantern Award for Nursing Excellence and is Acute Stroke Ready Certified by the Joint Commission. Additional features include flexible self-scheduling, advancement opportunities through a clinical ladder, and a Shared Governance nursing model in which bedside RNs lead hospital change. Requirements
- At least 1 year of Registered Nurse clinical experience in an acute care setting.
- BLS for Healthcare Provider certification.
- RN license, or eligibility to practice as an RN in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- BSN from an accredited school of nursing; an RN with an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) must complete a BSN within 5 years of the start date.
Nice To Haves
- More than 1 year of ED RN experience preferred.
- ACLS preferred.

- Provide knowledgeable and caring clinical practice and care coordination, informed by an understanding of patients, families, nurses, and the healthcare delivery team.
- Conduct patient care in a patient- and family-centered manner.
