About The Position
The Registered Nurse delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with department requirements and the standards of practice for the applicable state and specialty. The RN collaborates with medical providers and the care team to provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The nurse advocates for patients, families, and caregivers and supports positive patient experiences and clinical outcomes. Responsibilities include assessing patients at admission and during scheduled shifts, identifying and reporting changes in condition, carrying out provider-ordered procedures and monitoring, documenting care, administering medications and monitoring responses, addressing patient needs, and educating patients and their support networks about conditions, treatment plans, medications, side effects, and follow-up care.
Requirements
- Associate degree in nursing.
- Registered Nurse (RN) qualification.
- One year of experience.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients on admission and during each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting changes in their condition.
- Perform provider-ordered procedures, monitoring, and other functions, and document care promptly and thoroughly in the medical record.
- Administer prescribed medications, monitor therapeutic responses, and take appropriate action for unintended responses.
- Respond promptly to patient requests, anticipate patient needs, and resolve them.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, potential side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring understanding.
