About The Position
VitalHire is hiring a travel Registered Nurse for a progressive care unit (PCU) at an acute care hospital in Lubbock, Texas. The unit cares for all-telemetry patients with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3–1:4. Floating between units is required. The assignment is 13 weeks, with four openings and a start date of November 16, 2026. The schedule is three 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. There are six weekend shifts per six-week schedule. No on-call work or block scheduling is offered. First-time travelers are accepted. The facility is a 379-bed short-term acute care hospital and Level II trauma center. Required attire is solid navy blue scrubs; free parking is available.
Requirements
- Active Texas RN license; compact licenses are accepted.
- At least one year of recent PCU or telemetry experience.
- BLS certification.
- ACLS certification.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to progressive care unit patients, all of whom are on telemetry.
- Float between units as required.
- Work six weekend shifts per six-week schedule.
