About The Position
McKenney Home Care is seeking a Florida-licensed Registered Nurse to provide one-on-one private-duty nursing care for a hospice client in a private home in Estero, Florida. The nurse will work independently during an overnight assignment, with support available from the agency’s office and nursing team. Mandarin fluency is required to communicate directly with the client and family. The schedule is 10:00 PM–5:00 AM on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. The role involves skilled nursing according to the established plan of care, monitoring the client’s condition, administering ordered medications and treatments, supporting comfort and safety, communicating with relevant care partners, and completing documentation. McKenney Home Care is a family-owned private-duty home care agency serving Lee and Collier County through its Bonita Springs office.
Requirements
- Active Florida RN license in good standing.
- Mandarin-speaking ability for communication with the client and family.
- Strong clinical judgment and observation skills.
- Ability to work independently in a private home setting.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Current auto insurance.
- Reliable transportation.
- Current hands-on CPR certification, or willingness to obtain it.
- TB screening within the required timeframe or a qualifying chest X-ray.
- Eligibility for AHCA Level 2 background screening, or willingness to complete the required screening.

Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care according to the established plan of care.
- Monitor the client’s condition and report changes or concerns appropriately.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
- Support comfort, safety, and continuity of care throughout the overnight shift.
- Communicate with the client, family, hospice team, and McKenney Home Care as appropriate.
- Complete accurate and timely documentation.
- Follow agency policies, nursing direction, and client-specific care instructions.
